CONFERENCES
International Conference on Environmental Enrichment (ICEE). Concerned exclusively with enrichment and animal welfare, this bienniel conference was begun in 1993 by Drs. David Shepherdson and Jill Mellen. The Ninth Conference on Environmental Enrichment will be held in in May/June 2009 in Torquay, England.
Regional Environmental Enrichment Conferences (REEC). These conferences are held in even-numbered years to supplement the International conferences. REEC was started by Julian Chapman and Holly Farmer. REEC has since merged with The Shape of Enrichment Regionals. The UK/Ireland and Australasia Regions are currently planning their second REECs and Brazil its first.
